Our planet is heating up and we’re not
acting fast enough to counter it.
We don’t feel enough urgency..
Let’s remedy that.
We challenge you to reach 2050
in 10 minutes, as the water rises at your feet.
Enter an immersive escape room experience
and get ready to turn the tide!
THE EXPERIENCE
What will happen in Blue Mirror?
We’re building a mobile escape room experience where groups of 4 players will battle the rising sea level, on their way to 2050.
You’ll step into a kind of ‘world control room’ and get the chance to change every factor influencing climate change. You get to turn the ‘knobs and dials of the world’.
However: you’re also in a time vortex. Every 5 seconds, a whole season passes! Within minutes, the effects of climate change become tangible: it gets hotter, storms erupt inside the room, and before you know it water -yes water- starts to rise at your feet.
You have 10 minutes. Can your team make it to 2050 without getting your feet wet?
WHAT’S THE BUDGET FOR?
Blue Mirror is a complex experience to build. Not only does she need to be able to travel the world, but she also has to be able to flood and flush with water countless times per day. This requires

SUPPORT FOR BLUE MIRROR:
An initiative like Blue Mirror it important because it brings climate change, a long term process, into the present. Blue Mirror has the potential to change people's attitude; to spark them into action.
Sometimes we need an emotional experience to wake you up, and help you realize your own potential. Sherlocked's earlier escape rooms already did this masterfully, but they take it to the next level with Blue Mirror. And it's badly needed, because climate chance is so massive that it often feels impossible for me to have a positive effect on it, with my limited means. But that's not true. That's where Blue Mirror's strength lies: helping you realize your own potential to bring about the necessary change.
I'm excited about Blue Mirror because it highlights a global issue in a very personal, confronting way. It wakes people up, which is something I aim to do with my own photos as well.
